CLICKVERSE 001: PUNCHPRESS

A tiny industrial machine. One ridiculously satisfying CLICK.

What if your fidget clicker was actually a miniature industrial press?

Meet PUNCHPRESS, the first machine in the CLICKVERSE collection by DadBodLab.

Inspired by the raw power of industrial machinery, PUNCHPRESS transforms a simple mechanical keyboard switch into an interactive miniature factory machine.

Push the oversized red button. Watch the precision-guided ram descend. See the glowing red-hot billet disappear beneath the press as though it's being crushed flat.

CLICK.

Release. Reset. Do it again.

It's part mechanical sculpture, part desktop fidget, and entirely too satisfying to press just once.

⚙️ Key Features

A Press That Actually Moves: The miniature press ram travels approximately 4 mm, creating the illusion of crushing a red-hot metal billet with every click.
Real Mechanical Click: Powered by a single clicky MX-style mechanical keyboard switch for crisp, tactile feedback.
Industrial-Grade Aesthetics: Massive support columns, exposed bolt details, a chunky press head, and an unmistakable factory-inspired silhouette.
Miniature Crushing Illusion: A specially designed red billet and moving ram make every press feel like a tiny manufacturing operation. No actual metal is crushed.
High-Contrast Multicolor Design: Industrial black, machinery gray, vibrant red, and yellow hazard markings create a miniature machine that demands attention.
Satisfying Desk Fidget: Compact enough to hold in your hand, but detailed enough to deserve a permanent place on your desk.
Purpose-Built Assembly: Separate components combine into a functional moving mechanism around the switch.
The Beginning of CLICKVERSE: Officially designated 001, this is the first collectible mechanical creation in an expanding series.

🔧 Assembly Instructions

Assembly is straightforward, but getting the switch and moving mechanism fitted correctly is important.

0. Fit Test

Use the included fit kit (Plate 1) to identify the best-fitting components for your printer and switch.

Select the switch tile that clicks firmly into position without rattling.
Select the stem cup that requires firm thumb pressure and stays attached when shaken.
If the default fit isn't right, try the supplied alternate components.

1. Install the Billet

Press the small red billet's peg into the hole on the anvil face.

2. Install the Switch

Insert the mechanical switch into the upper crown, pins facing downward.

Push until both retaining clips engage and the switch sits flat.

3. Attach the Piston

Press the piston straight down onto the switch stem until fully seated.

4. Connect the Moving Ram

From underneath the crown, feed both ram rods upward through their guide holes and into the piston.

Pinch the piston and ram together until the rods reach their stops.

Important: Pinch the components together instead of pulling on the ram. This avoids placing unnecessary stress on the switch.

If the ram slides down on its own, add a tiny drop of super glue to each rod tip.

5. Install the Crown

Align the crown with the two upright support-column pegs.

Carefully press the crown down until it sits securely and evenly.

6. Make Your First Press!

Push the giant red button.

The moving ram descends, the billet appears to flatten beneath the press, and the mechanical switch delivers its signature CLICK.

Release to reset.

Your PUNCHPRESS is ready!
